Oven cleaned inside and out in an Ealing kitchen

The Item That Costs People Deposits

Ask any letting agent what tenants lose money on and the oven comes up first. It is the one job people put off, it is the one an inventory clerk always opens, and the burnt-on carbon at the back does not come off with a supermarket spray and half an hour of scrubbing.

We take it apart. Racks, trays and side runners come out and are degreased separately. The door glass is split where the model allows, so the grease between the panes — the haze you can see but cannot reach — is actually cleaned. The interior is treated, left to work, then scraped and wiped back to the enamel rather than polished over.

Hobs, extractor filters and the grill go with it, because they carry the same grease and get inspected in the same breath. Because the oven is such a common deposit problem, it is included at no extra cost in every end of tenancy clean we do.

  • Racks, trays and runners removed and degreased separately
  • Door glass split and cleaned between the panes where possible
  • Carbon scraped back to the enamel, not polished over
  • Hob, grill and extractor filter included
  • Free as part of every end of tenancy clean

What Oven Cleaning Covers

Dismantled, degreased and reassembled before we leave.

What It Costs

A fixed written quote before you commit — no deposit, no hidden extras.

£80 is our fixed price for a standalone single oven, including the hob and the extractor filter. Range cookers and double ovens are quoted individually — and the oven is free inside an end of tenancy clean (£180+).

Ovens in London Kitchens

London kitchens are small and often have no external extraction, just a recirculating hood with a metal filter behind the grille. That filter is the reason grease ends up on the wall above the hob and on the underside of the cupboards. Cleaning the oven without the filter is half a job, so we do both.

The other London reality is the landlord's oven: older, harder-worked and cleaned by a succession of tenants with varying enthusiasm. Those take longer but come back further than people expect, which is worth knowing before you decide to just pay the deduction.

Oven Cleaning — Your Questions

Still unsure? Call 07867997955 and ask us directly.

Yes. The oven interior, racks, trays and glass door are part of our standard end of tenancy clean at no extra charge. It is the most common reason for a deposit deduction, so charging extra for it never made sense.

On most models, yes — the panes come apart and that trapped grease haze is cleaned properly. A few sealed doors cannot be split safely, and on those we will tell you rather than force it and crack the glass.

A standard single oven is usually 90 minutes to two hours, because the degreaser needs time to work before anything is scraped. A neglected oven or a range cooker takes longer. We quote the job, so a stubborn oven does not cost you more.

Yes, quoted individually — there is simply more of them. Send a photo with your quote request and we will give you a fixed figure.

A standalone single oven is £80, which is our minimum for sending a cleaner out for one appliance on its own. If you are having other cleaning done at the same time, the oven is far cheaper as part of that visit — and it is free inside an end of tenancy clean.
