Luton van loaded for a house removals London job in Camden

£80 an Hour, Movers and a Van Included

House moves are charged at £80 an hour with a minimum booking of two hours. That rate covers the movers, the Luton van, the fuel and the congestion charge — there is no call-out fee and no separate mileage line. Beyond the first two hours you pay only for the time actually used, billed in line with the 10–15 minute leeway set out in our Terms of Service.

We will give you an honest estimate of how many hours your move should take before you book, and if you would rather have one all-in figure than an hourly rate, ask and we will quote the job as a fixed price instead.

A standard move is two professional movers and a Luton van with a tail lift for anything heavy or awkward. Furniture dismantling and reassembly is included — beds, wardrobes, table legs, the flat-pack that was never meant to move twice. Wardrobe boxes come with the van so your hanging clothes travel on the rail rather than folded in a bag.

Everything is wrapped before it is lifted. Sofas and mattresses get covers, wooden furniture gets blankets and straps, mirrors and glass get corner protection. We would rather spend twenty minutes wrapping than explain a scratch to you at the other end.

What a House Move Includes

Everything below is part of the hourly rate, not a line item added later.

What It Costs

A fixed written quote before you commit — no deposit, no hidden extras.

£80 an hour with a two-hour minimum, covering the movers, the van, the fuel and the congestion charge. A one-bedroom flat within London is usually three to four hours; a two-bedroom house five to seven. Packing can be added to any move, and we will quote the whole job as one fixed figure if you prefer.

Access, parking and packing: stairs are not charged automatically but may be charged subject to other factors — flights, carry distance, item weight and whether a lift is working — and anything that could move the price is raised with you before we start. Parking is the responsibility of the client at every address, including permits, suspensions and any tickets or PCNs. Your goods are insured in our vans where we have not advised that an item needs packing; where an expensive, fragile or sentimental item is presented for bare transport we will offer to pack it for a small extra cost. The final decision is yours, and if you decline our expert advice we’d require a written confirmation by text and the item travels uninsured. Full detail is in our Terms of Service.

We Know the Streets You're Moving On

The hard part of a London move is rarely the furniture. It is the double yellow outside the front door, the Victorian staircase with a turn too tight for a three-seater, the lift that needs booking with a concierge, and the loading bay that a delivery van is already sitting in. We ask about all of it before the day so it is planned rather than discovered.

Parking is the client's responsibility, so tell us the addresses early and we will tell you honestly whether you need a suspension. If you do, we will arrange it for you and pass on the council's cost with nothing added; if it is not worth it, we will say that too. Any tickets or PCNs issued at either address remain yours to settle. We cover all 32 boroughs, from a studio in Hackney to a family house in Bromley, and end-of-month dates go first — two to three weeks' notice gets you the slot you actually want.

House Removals — Your Questions

Still unsure? Call 07867997955 and ask us directly.

House removals are £80 an hour with a two-hour minimum, which covers the movers and a Luton van. A one-bedroom flat moving within London usually takes three to four hours, and a two-bedroom house five to seven, so expect roughly £240–£320 and £400–£560. The hours depend on volume, access at both ends, distance and whether you want packing, and we will tell you our estimate in writing before you commit — or quote the job as one fixed price if you would rather have a single number.

Fuel, mileage within London, the congestion charge and ULEZ are always inside the rate. Stairs are not charged automatically, but they may be, subject to other factors — the number of flights, the length of the carry, the weight and size of the items and whether a lift is working. Anything that could affect the price is raised with you before we start. Parking is the responsibility of the client: arranging a legal, usable space or a suspension at both addresses is yours to organise, and any tickets or PCNs are yours to settle. If you ask us to arrange a suspension we will, and it is passed on at the council's exact cost with nothing added.

Yes — goods in transit insurance up to £50,000 covers your items in our vans where we have not advised that something needs packing. Before anything is lifted, the crew look at what is being presented for bare transport, and where the most expensive, fragile or sentimental items would be at real risk unwrapped they will offer to pack them for a small extra cost. The final decision is yours. If you would rather we carried an item bare against our advice we will, but we ask for a written confirmation by text, and that item travels uninsured. Everything else on the move stays fully insured. We also wrap everything properly before it is lifted, which is the part that actually prevents damage.

Yes, including Saturdays, Sundays and evenings, at the same rate as a weekday. We open at 07:00 Monday to Saturday and 08:00 on Sunday. We do not charge a premium for moving when it suits you.

Two to three weeks for the date you want, particularly if you are moving at the end of the month when most London tenancies turn over. Last-minute moves within 24 to 48 hours are often possible, so it is always worth calling.
