Who we are

Arc Movers Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17425537, with our registered office at 128 City Rd, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

For any privacy question or request, email info@arcmovers.co.uk or call 07867997955.

Who else handles your data

We keep our supply chain deliberately short:

  • Formspree processes our website form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Formspree operates in the United States, so submitting a form involves a transfer of your data outside the UK. That transfer is covered by the safeguards in Formspree's data processing terms, including the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Netlify hosts this website and processes server log data, including your IP address, for security and reliability. Netlify also stores the signature image, name, email, address and date you send when you sign our Terms of Service online.
  • WhatsApp, run by Meta, carries the message you send us when you sign our Terms of Service online, and any other WhatsApp messages you send us. Messages are end-to-end encrypted. WhatsApp may process data outside the UK, and its own privacy policy applies.
  • Google Fonts and Cloudflare (cdnjs) serve the fonts and icons this site uses, and the reviewer profile pictures shown in our Google reviews section load from Google’s image servers. Your browser requests those files directly, which means those providers receive your IP address. They do not set cookies through this site.
  • Our own email provider, which stores the enquiry emails we receive.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to other removals or cleaning firms.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses the Google Ads tag, provided by Google. It sets cookies and sends Google details such as your IP address, the pages you visit, and whether you contact us after clicking one of our adverts. We use this only to measure how well our adverts work. Google may process this data outside the UK, and its own privacy policy applies.

We use no other analytics or tracking. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Completed jobs, signed agreements and related records: six full financial years after the end of the tax year they relate to, which is the retention period UK tax law requires of us.
  • Server logs: retained by our host for a short rolling period for security purposes.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into our forms is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry emails and job records is limited to the people who need it to do their job. We keep the number of systems holding your data as small as we practically can.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • ask us to delete data we no longer have a good reason to keep;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests;
  • ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on.

Email info@arcmovers.co.uk to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month. Where we are legally required to retain records — a signed contract, for example — we will explain why we cannot delete them yet.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated directly.
